Registered Residential Manager N10  32 bedded home
NVQ4 or equivalent and RMA needed . This client is looking for a Residential care Manager with previous experience. This position involves providing care and accommodation with 24-hour staff support. This particular home specialises in providing care for Elderly (EMI). They also offer a high ratio of professional and qualified staff to its residents.
The manager will be required to:
- implement individual care plans and provide input into the detailing and planning of programmes through one to one key working sessions
-create an informal homely atmosphere for residents
awareness and implementation of all policies and procedures
-Assist and support colleagues/coworkers
development of strong positive relationships with residents and their clinical team
- involvement during handover periods; each staff must have a clear idea of tasks and commitments
- to develop a rota which ensures that all hours are covered in a manner which maximises the use of staff resources in providing care for our client i.e. managers covering 9am - 5pm Mon-Frid
- co-ordinate interviews and induct all new staff during their three month probationary period
- responsible for administrative tasks, e.g. written communications, - report writing personnel files, key work folders, incident/accident reports etc (this list is not exhaustive)
- assist with residents transportation/escorting in the community (if required)
- Assist in compilation of review reports
- manage, monitor, intervene where necessary in any situation using appropriate risk assessment procedures
- ensure that the house is sufficiently staffed at all times and providing cover where emergency situations arise or where staff are not available
- manage behaviours that challenge in accordance with the plan of care
- attend residents' holidays on at least a yearly basis, if required
- responsible for administering and maintaining personal care and - hygiene requirements for residents in accordance with individual care plans
- correct administration, control, storage and recording of medication in accordance with Company policy and procedure
- Ensuring that residents maximise their potential for independence
establishing contact with agencies and professionals involved with the residents/clients
- to provide guidance, support and practical advice for the promotion of independence
