Deputy Residential Care Manager (Mental Health)

This 4 bedded residential home for mental health with challenging behaviour is looking for a Deputy Manager.  The candidate must have previous experience working as a Deputy Manager in a residential setting and has worked with mental health.  Forensic experience would be an asset but not essential.  The position involves:

Assisting the Manager in all aspects of the running of the home in his/her absence

Supporting the welfare and well-being of residents/client within the home

To provide guidance, support and practical advice for the promotion of independence, domestic skills, socialisation, self realisation and emotional awareness

to provide a standard of care in accordance with the Company's principles and code of practice

to be responsible for administrative taqsks, e.g. written communications, report writing, personnel files, key work folders, incident/accident reports etc

to manage, monitor, intervene where necessary, in any situation using appropriate risk assessment procedures

to maintain close liaison with, residents, carers, colleagues and all healthcare professionals
